About Richmond Rising
Richmond Rising is supported by the California Strategic Growth Council’s Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) Program (TCC).
TCC was created to fund the development and implementation of neighborhood-level transformative climate community plans that include multiple coordinated greenhouse gas emissions reduction projects that provide local economic, environmental and health benefits to disadvantaged communities.
The California Strategic Growth Council is a council made up of seven state agencies and three public members with the mission to build healthy, thriving, and resilient communities for all. Since 2008, SGC has invested over $2 billion in projects that strengthen communities and address climate change.
